Bank Account Holders Alert: These bank change big rule to online banking, if not followed, the account will be frozen

SBI has now implemented a strict rule in view of the security of its online banking app YONO, which customers must follow. The bank has done this because the use of mobile banking has increased rapidly since last year after the arrival of coronavirus, and along with it there has also been an increase in fraud cases during online banking. Keeping this in mind, State Bank of India (SBI) has taken strict action. This new rule of SBI will freeze the accounts of those customers who do not follow the new rules.


Only these people will be able to use

YONO App SBI account holders doing financial transactions through SBI YONO App will now have to ensure one thing to login to the app. Customers will be able to login to the YONO App only when they are using the mobile phone number registered with the bank. SBI does not allow YONO account holders to do any transaction when they try to login with any other number.

SBI has tweeted this information 

related to SBI YONO App, the bank has shared this important information through its Twitter handle. SBI said that the bank is increasing the security features of the Yono app, so that your money can be safe. SBI further said that the new upgrade of the YONO app will allow online banking facility to be used only by those customers who log into the bank through the registered mobile number.

Because of this, SBI took this decision, in 

fact, the bank has taken this step to reduce the fraud from SBI YONO app. It has often been seen that fraudsters obtain the username, password and other personal bank account details of the customers by duping them and then they use the same to log in to the app from their mobile to commit the fraud. SBI expects that with the implementation of the new rule, fraud cases will come down. So, be careful, the next time you try to access your SBI YONO account, ensure that you are using the mobile phone number registered with the bank without fail.
