The bank holiday for Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti applies only to Maharashtra. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti is celebrated every year on February 19 across Maharashtra. On this occasion, processions, tableaux, cultural programs and speech competitions are organized in Maharashtra.

During bank holidays, online or internet banking, mobile banking, UPI service, i.e., overall digital banking remains operational. Only bank branches remain closed. Due to this, customers cannot physically go to the bank and get their work done.
