According to the list of holidays of RBI, both public and private sector banks will remain closed due to Eid-e-Milad Un-Nabi and Onam festival. If you are thinking of going to the bank for some important work, then first check whether there is a holiday in your state or not. Where there is no holiday, banks will remain open.

Banks will remain closed on Friday

Today, on Friday, banks will remain closed due to Eid-e-Milad. This festival is celebrated in memory of the birthday of Prophet Hazrat Mohammad Saheb. On this day, Quran is recited in mosques, people decorate houses and help the poor. Onam is the biggest festival of Kerala, which is celebrated in memory of harvest and King Mahabali.

September 4 (Thursday): Onam in Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram.

September 5 (Friday): Eid-e-Milad/Thiruvonam in many cities including Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad.

September 6 (Saturday): Eid-e-Milad/Indrajatra in Gangtok, Jammu, Raipur and Srinagar.

September 12 (Friday): Friday after Eid-e-Milad in Jammu and Srinagar.

September 22 (Monday): Navratri Sthapana in Jaipur.

23 September (Tuesday): Maharaja Hari Singh Jayanti in Jammu and Srinagar.

29 September (Monday): Maha Saptami/Durga Puja in Agartala, Gangtok and Kolkata.

30 September (Tuesday): Maha Ashtami/Durga Ashtami in many cities including Agartala, Bhubaneswar, Guwahati, Kolkata, Patna and Ranchi.

Weekly holidays

Apart from festivals, like every month, this time too there will be holidays on weekends.
