Bank Holiday in September 2023: Banks will remain closed for 16 days next month, check the list before leaving

Banks will be closed for 16 days in September 2023 based on the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) holiday calendar and local holidays.

Bank Holidays In September 2023: Like every month, in the next month i.e. September, banks will remain closed due to nation, region holidays. Banks will remain closed in some states from Sri Krishna Janmashtami, Ganesh Chaturthi to Eid-e-Milad-ul-Nabi. Banks will be closed for 16 days in September 2023 based on the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) holiday calendar and local holidays.

These holidays include festivals, second and fourth Saturdays and Sunday holidays. During this time, if you want to settle any bank work, do check the list of bank holidays once.

However, work related to banking can also be done sitting at home i.e. through internet banking.

3 September 2023 – Sunday

6 September 2023 – Shri Krishna Janmashtami

7 September 2023 – Janmashtami (Shravan Samvat-8) and Shri Krishna Ashtami.

9 September 2023 – Second Saturday10 September 2023 – Sunday

17 September 2023 – Sunday

18 September 2023 – Varsiddhi Vinayak Vrat and Vinayak Chaturthi

19 September 2023 – Ganesh Chaturthi

20 September 2023 – Ganesh Chaturthi (2nd day) and Nuakhai (Odisha).

22 September 2023-Shri Narayan Guru Samadhi Day.

23 September 2023 – Fourth Saturday and birthday of Maharaja Hari Singh (Jammu and Kashmir).

24 September 2023 – Sunday

25 September 2023: Srimanta Sankardeva’s birth anniversary

27 September 2023- Milad-e-Sherif (Birthday of Prophet Mohammad).

28 September 2023 – Eid-e-Milad or Eid-e-Miladunnabi (Twelfth Death)

29 September 2023 – Indrajatra and Friday after Eid-e-Milad-ul-Nabi (Jammu and Kashmir)
