Bank Holiday: RBI canceled the holiday, after new order banks will remain closed on this day on Eid

Bank Holidays List: It is important for bank customers and employees to know that they will get today’s holiday tomorrow. In view of the decision of Maharashtra Government, Reserve Bank has decided to declare bank holiday on 29th September.

Bank Holidays in October: Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has made changes in the Eid-e-Milad holiday at the last moment. Earlier there was confusion regarding this bank holiday and it was being said that there would be holiday on 28th and 29th September in different cities. Banks in Delhi-NCR also have a holiday on 28th September. But now this holiday has been canceled and this holiday will remain on 29th September. A new order in this regard was issued by the RBI on Wednesday and the holiday of Eid-e-Milad on September 28 has been canceled and has been declared on September 29 (Friday).

Money market operation underway

It is important for bank customers and employees to know that they will get today’s leave tomorrow. In view of the decision of Maharashtra Government, Reserve Bank has decided to declare bank holiday on 29th September. However, GSec, Forex, Money, Rupee Interest Derivative Markets will remain open on both 28th and 29th September. Keeping in mind the quarterly and half yearly closing, it has been decided to open GSec, Forex, Money, Rupee interest derivative markets.

Where will banks remain closed?

There is a holiday on 28th September in Ahmedabad, Aizawl, Belapur, Bengaluru, Chennai, Dehradun, Hyderabad, Imphal, Kanpur, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Raipur, Ranchi, etc. But in Maharashtra the holiday will be on 29th September instead of 28th. There will be a holiday for banks in Gangtok, Jammu and Srinagar also on 29th. Actually, the Maharashtra government has decided to advance the holiday of Eid Milad-un-Nabi by one day to 29th September. Here, the official state holiday of Anant Chaturdashi is falling on the same day on the occasion of immersion ceremony and Eid Milad-un-Nabi.

Huge processions take place on both the festivals. In such a situation, any kind of problem can occur and it can be difficult to control the crowd. In such a situation, announcement of change in holiday had to be made. This time there will be bank holiday for 16 days in the month of October. Within these 16 days, second and fourth Saturdays as well as Sunday holidays are also included.
