In fact, there are several bank holidays this week. Banks in different cities will be closed for four days due to Christmas and other reasons. However, customers can take advantage of online banking services during this time.

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) releases a list of bank holidays in advance every year, detailing which dates and cities banks will be closed. Therefore, it’s important to check your city’s bank holiday list before going to the bank so you don’t face any problems.

December 24th Bank Holiday

Banks have been declared a holiday in Meghalaya and Mizoram on Wednesday, December 24th. Banks will be closed due to Christmas Eve. If you live in these two areas, you should avoid visiting bank branches. Banks will remain open in all cities across the country except Meghalaya and Mizoram.

December 25th Bank Holiday

Christmas will be celebrated across the country on Thursday, December 25th. Banks in all cities across the country have been declared a holiday for Christmas. You should avoid visiting banks on this day.

December 26th and 27th Bank Holiday

Banks will be closed in Haryana on Friday, December 26th, due to Martyr Udham Singh Jayanti. Meanwhile, banks in Meghalaya, Mizoram, and Telangana have been declared closed for Christmas. The following day, December 27th, is the fourth Saturday of the month, which is why banks will be closed nationwide. Banks are closed on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month across the country.
