The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has asked all banks to get their customers to sign the new agreement for bank lockers. The bank has to complete this work by September 30. If you also have a bank locker in any branch of SBI or Bank of Baroda, then go there and sign your new bank locker agreement. Otherwise you may face problems later.

SBI and BOB gave instructions to customers – complete this work by 30th September

According to SBI and Bank of Baroda, the bank has issued a revised bank locker contract including the rights of the customer. This new bank locker contract is required to be signed by the customers taking the locker. The bank is also asking its customers to know the bank through SMS and email. He must go to the branch where he has a bank locker and sign his new agreement.

All banks have to complete this work by 31st December

RBI has ordered all banks to sign the new agreement by at least 50 percent of the locker holders by June 30. Banks across the country must get 75 percent of their customers signed on to the agreement by September 30 and reach 100 percent. This work has to be completed by 31st December this year. All banks have been directed to provide necessary information to their customers as well as update the status of their locker agreements on the efficient portal of RBI.
