HDFC Bank has issued a downtime alert. Several banking services will be down for a few hours. Failure to complete their work on time could result in significant inconvenience to customers.
Banking Services Close: If you have an account with HDFC Bank, there’s a big update for you. The country’s largest private sector bank has announced the temporary suspension of some services (HDFC Bank Alert). A downtime alert has been issued regarding scheduled maintenance. Some banking services will be unavailable for a few hours on Sunday, October 12th. The bank has announced this on its official website, hdfcbank.com. For your information, since it’s a Sunday, all banks will be closed on this day.
All banks update their systems at specific times. Services are disrupted during this time. Banks inform customers of this in advance so that they don’t face any problems with transactions and can complete their services in a timely manner.
These digital services will also not be available.
The “Offers” feature on HDFC Bank net banking will be disabled from 12:00 midnight to 5:00 am on October 12th. During this time, customers will not be able to view or claim discount or cashback offers, promotional schemes, or EMI offers.
Mutual fund transactions will also be suspended from 1:00 AM to 5:00 AM on the same day. Customers will not be able to invest in mutual fund schemes through HDFC’s net banking and mobile banking app, nor will they be able to redeem old investments. SIPs, fund switches, fund balances, or portfolio viewing will also be unavailable. This step has been taken to improve service. These services were also suspended on October 11th.
Forex Card Services Will Also Be Discontinued
Forex card loading and instant reload services through net banking and prepaid cards will also be suspended for three hours from 3:00 AM to 6:00 AM on October 12th. Customers will not be able to add funds to their forex cards during this time, nor will they be able to use the instant reload facility. If you are planning a trip abroad, please complete this process. Reloads will also not be permitted during the maintenance period. However, there will be no impact on ATM withdrawals, e-commerce, tap and pay and POS transactions.
