Bhagya Laxmi Yojana: The Yogi government is running a special plan for a better and safer future for girls. The UP government has named the Bhagyalakshmi Yojana (Bhagya Lakshmi Yojana), the ongoing scheme for the upliftment of women and girls. Under this scheme, girls from poor families will get financial aid for studies. Let’s know about this plan.
Under Bhagyalakshmi Yojana (Bhagya Lakshmi Yojana), the family will get a 50 thousand rupees bond from the state government on the birth of a daughter in Uttar Pradesh. And when the daughter turns 21, the girl’s parents will be given 2 lakh rupees. Apart from this, the government also provides help for daughter’s studies.
How much money will be received: Under the Bhagyalakshmi scheme, the government will get 3 thousand rupees in the account of girls studying in class 6, 5 thousand rupees for girls studying in class 8. At the same time, girls will get 7 thousand rupees when they come in class 10, whereas, they will be given 8 thousand rupees when they come in class XII. The benefit of the scheme will be given only to those families who fall below the poverty line.
Necessary conditions for Bhagyalakshmi scheme
- Only daughters born after the year 2006 will get the benefit of the scheme.
- Only residents of Uttar Pradesh will get the benefit of the scheme.
- The benefit of the scheme will be given only to those whose annual income is not more than two lakh rupees.
- It will be necessary to register in the Anganwadi within one month of the birth of the daughter.
- Only BPL families can take advantage of the scheme.
- Government employees will not get the benefit of the scheme.
- Lali girls studying in private schools will not get the benefit of the scheme.
- If the girl is married before the age of 18, the benefit of the scheme will not be available.
How to register: To register under Bhagya Laxmi Yojana, the beneficiary should have UP’s residence certificate. Apart from this, there should be a birth certificate of the beneficiary. Documents such as Aadhar card, income certificate, proof of home address, bank account of the girl’s parents are needed. Only after submitting all these documents can one take advantage of the scheme.
