Big News: Does fakedeal on snapdeal get fake stuff? 4 Indian Shopping Complex With USTR’s Infamous Markets List

Fakedeal On Snapdeal : Based on a 2020 market review by the USTR, the four complexes have been described as a bastion of counterfeit goods in addition to India’s Snapdeal online shopping platform.

The US Trade Representative Office has called India’s large online shopping company a bastion of counterfeit goods. Apart from Snapdeal, four shopping complexes are also named in this list, of which two are in New Delhi itself. The USTR says that these places are notorious for fake and pirated samanas. This list has been released after the 2020 market review.

Palika Bazar and Tank Road in Delhi are included in this list. Please tell that Palika Bazaar is a famous market of Connaught Place which is underground. The list includes Hira Panna Bazaar in Mumbai and Kidderpore Bazaar in Kolkata. The list that was released last turn had the name of Millennium Center which is located in Aizawl. This time it has been replaced by Palika Bazar.

US Trade Representative Robert Lizer said, “Creators in the US have found it difficult to exploit their content in the online and physical markets because the material is being copied and sold indiscriminately.” The 2020 review names 39 online markets and 34 physical markets. It is reported from here that pirated goods and counterfeit goods are highly supplied.

Robert went on to say, not only the American manufacturer but consumers are also suffering a big loss. Policies are not enough for e-commerce companies, therefore, they face much loss. Companies will also have to take steps to fight piracy and counterfeiting.

USTR said Snapdeal has become a cause for concern. In the 2018 survey, 37 percent of customers complained that fake goods were sold on it. In 2019, the founders of Snapdeal were also accused of selling counterfeit goods in India. Most of these goods are made in China or Hong Kong. Apart from this, India, Thailand, Turkey, UAE are also included in this list. USTR has also expressed concern about India’s policies. The main focus is on the online market. According to the USTR, there is less scope for damage from the physical complex as there is limited access to people.
