New Delhi. Lakhs are good news for central employees. Millions of employees and pensioners will soon get dearness allowance. The minister has said in Parliament that from 1 July 2021, the entire dearness allowance will be received and the remaining dearness allowance for the last three times will also be given.

Minister of State for Finance Anurag Thakur told the Rajya Sabha on Tuesday that the arrears of the three installment of dearness allowance of central employees and pensioners will be given from July 2021. Due to the Corona crisis, the government had stopped dearness allowances of 1 January 2020, 1 July 2020 and 1 January 2021 of central employees.

Explain that central employees get dearness allowance up to 17 percent of their basic salary. It is set from July 2019 and was to be amended in January 2020.
