There is a relief news for the government employees of Bihar. The Nitish Kumar government of the state has lifted the ban on holidays after the tension between India and Pakistan has reduced. Now the employees can apply for leave. The General Administration Department has also issued orders in this regard.
In fact, recently the Bihar government had cancelled the leave of all the employees including policemen, police officers and all government officials due to India-Pakistan tension. Keeping in mind the sensitive circumstances, instructions were issued not to approve the leave of employees. It was said that the application for leave would be accepted only in special circumstances, however, now that the situation is normal, the Bihar government has cancelled that order.
Now employees/police personnel can apply for leave
The new order states that now all government and police personnel of the state can apply for leave. The General Administration Department has issued new instructions to all Additional Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries, Secretaries, Heads of Departments, Divisional Commissioners and District Magistrates.
Gujarat government also gave relief to employees
The Gujarat government has also relaxed the previous order of leave ban and has given the administrative heads of the departments the right to approve the leaves of the state employees. The notification of the General Administration Department states that in view of the current situation, now all the administrative heads of various departments can approve the leaves of the employees.
The notification states that if any emergency situation arises, the heads of the concerned departments or offices can also cancel the leaves and the employees will have to come on duty with immediate effect. If needed, all the employees will have to be available all the time through phone or email even when on leave.
