According to the money control news, from 1 May 2021, 1 Axis Bank customers will have to keep an average minimum monthly balance of Rs 15,000 in their account. Currently this limit is 10,000 rupees. Apart from this, the bank has increased the average minimum balance limit in the Prime and Liberty Savings Account from Rs 15,000 to Rs 25,000.

There will be such a charge if there is no minimum balance
Axis Bank allows its savings account holders to withdraw 4 transactions or 2 lakh rupees free in a month. After this, on withdrawing the cash, it charges 5 rupees per thousand or a maximum of 150 rupees. Now the bank has increased the charge of 5 rupees after free transaction to 10 rupees. However, the maximum charge of Rs 150 has been retained. If the minimum balance is not maintained, the bank will charge from Rs 50 to Rs 800.The SMS charge also increased,
in addition to this, the bank will now charge at the rate of 25 paise per SMS. Currently charges 5 rupees per month. This new rate will be applicable from 1 July 2021. Explain that it will not include OTP and promotional SMS sent by the bank.

If your salary account is more than 6 months old and there is no credit in any one month, then a charge of 100 rupees per month will be charged. At the same time, if there is no transaction in your account for 17 months, then in the 18th month, one time charge of Rs 100 will be charged.
