Bihar Assembly Elections 2025: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has announced a half-day ‘Bihar Bandh’ on September 4 in protest against the abuse of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his late mother from the stage of the opposition alliance ‘India’. BJP has announced ‘Bihar Bandh’ till 1 pm on September 4. Under this bandh, there will be a bandh from 7 am to 12 noon on September 4. Women workers will protest against Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav across the state.
PM Modi attacked the opposition
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Monday that he was deeply saddened by the abuses being used against his mother during the Congress’ recently concluded ‘Voter Rights Yatra’ in Bihar. PM Modi said that he may forgive the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and the Congress for this. But the people of Bihar will never forgive them.
Reacting for the first time to the controversy arising out of the abuse of his late mother during the recent ‘Voter Rights Yatra’ in Darbhanga, PM Modi targeted the opposition parties. He said that abusing his mother is not a big deal for those who insult ‘Bharat Mata’ and they should be punished.
He said, “My mother had nothing to do with politics, so what was her fault. Why were abuses used against her?” The Prime Minister made these remarks while addressing a gathering in Delhi on the occasion of digitally inaugurating a new cooperative initiative for women associated with self-help groups in Bihar.
Attacking Congress ally RJD, he said that Lalu Prasad’s party wants to take revenge on women because it was because of them that his government was ousted from power in Bihar. PM Modi said, “People who abuse mothers think that women are weak. Abusing my mother is an insult to the daughters and sisters of Bihar.”
