Bihar News: Bus travel will be expensive in Bihar from March 14, fare will increase by 25 percent

There is a plan to increase the fare of all the buses running in Bihar from midnight of March 14 to 25 per cent. Chairman of the Motor Transport Federation, Uday Shankar Singh told News18 that the Federation has decided to increase the fare, which will be sent to all the officials including Transport Minister, Transport Secretary through a letter.




Along with the bus owners, the Truck Owners Association, on the other hand, has also made preparations to increase the fare. Bhanu Shekhar, president of Bihar Truck Owners Association, said that preparations are being made to increase the fare by 20 to 30 percent in view of the increased prices of diesel.

Referring to the increased prices of diesel

Transport Federation President Uday Shankar Singh said that in the last two years, the price of diesel has increased by Rs 20, which has increased the problems of bus owners. With diesel, permit fees, insurance charges, taxes, toll plaza charges have all increased, so it has become necessary to increase the freight.

Transport Federation, we will apply 25 per cent increase from midnight on March 14. The chart of increased fares will be given to the department and will be waiting for the permission of the department on 13 March. If permission is not given by 13 March, the freight will be increased from 14 March. The Transport Department has not agreed to these demands at present.
