Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has started Chief Minister Women Entrepreneur and Chief Minister Yuva Udyami Yojana for the youth of Bihar. Under this scheme, now the government will provide financial assistance to the youth of general and backward classes and women of all classes in setting up industries. The government will help up to Rs 10 lakh for the youth of the state to make their future in the industry. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar launched the Chief Minister Women Entrepreneur and Chief Minister Yuva Udyami Yojana through video conferencing. What is this scheme, let us understand in easy language.

For this scheme, the State Industries Department has prepared a new portal. www.udyami.bihar.gov.in. The CM said that these schemes will further encourage entrepreneurship development and self-employment among lakhs of women and youth.

Will get five lakh rupees

Under this scheme, the government, which will give 10 lakh rupees for setting up industries. Out of this, Rs 5 lakh will be given as a grant. At the same time, the remaining five lakh rupees will be a loan. On the loan of five lakh rupees, the government will charge interest at the rate of only one percent from the youth. Women will not have to pay any interest. Facility has been given to repay the loan in 84 installments. An amount of Rs 10 lakh will be given to the youth and women setting up industries in two installments.

Plan basis

In the year 2018, the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Entrepreneur Scheme was started by the state government. Its purpose was to encourage the development of entrepreneurship and self-employment among the youth and girls of scheduled castes and tribes. In 2020, the government had started the Mukhyamantri Ati Backward Udyami Yojana for the development of entrepreneurship amongst the youth and girls of the most backward classes and to help them in setting up industries.

Now the government has implemented Mukhyamantri Mahila Udyami and Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyami Yojana with the aim of attracting the youth and women of every section of Bihar towards entrepreneurship. The www.udyami.bihar.gov.in portal has also been launched to apply for this scheme . You can apply online by visiting this portal.

Who can apply in this scheme

  • It is mandatory for the applicant to be a permanent resident of Bihar.
  • Applicants must have passed at least 10+2 or Intermediate, ITI, Polytechnic, Diploma or equivalent.
  • Applicant’s age should be between 18 years to 50 years.
  • The applicant entity should be a Proprietorship Firm, Partnership Firm, LLP or Private Limited Company.
  • Partnership firm can be done by the entrepreneur on his personal PAN.
  • The current account should be in the name of the proposed firm.

CM Nitish Kumar said – participation of women is necessary

Inaugurating this scheme, CM Nitish Kumar said that this will further encourage entrepreneurship development and self-employment among women and youth. Since coming to the government in the year 2005, the government has taken many steps for the upliftment and empowerment of women. It has been our aim from the beginning that women should become capable and self-reliant. The development of the state will happen only when there will be participation of women along with men.
