BJP has released its manifesto for the UP elections. Home Minister Amit Shah, UP CM Yogi Adityanath, Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Anurag Thakur were also present during the release of the resolution letter. Promises made in resolution letter
- Free electricity will be given to all farmers for irrigation
- Widow pension will be increased to 1500 per month (currently 800)
- Women will be given two free cylinders on Holi and Diwali
- Free travel for women above 60 in government transport
- 2 crore or smartphones will be given to the students
- One youth will be given government or self-employment opportunity in every household.
- Free scooty will be given to college going girls
- International airport to be built in Ayodhya
- 25000 rupees will be given for the marriage of poor daughters (earlier Rs 15000
- CCTV will be installed near all public and educational institutions
- Dialysis centers will be set up in every district
It is worth noting that on 15 December 2022, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had sought suggestions from across the state by launching the Akanksha box for ‘Lok Kalyan Sankalp Patra’. Through the program organized on the theme of Uttar Pradesh No.-1 ‘Suggestion Yours, Sankalp Hamara’, suggestions were sought after interacting with people of different social and economic classes in 30 thousand gram panchayats, all assembly constituencies and metros of the state.
