There is a wave of mourning across the country due to the sudden demise of CDS Bipin Rawat in a helicopter crash. The Air Force helicopter carrying General Rawat had crashed near Coonoor in Tamil Nadu, with 14 people including General Rawat on board. Condolences are also being expressed in Bollywood on the sudden demise of General Rawat and other officers.
Veteran actor Anupam Kher shared some of his pictures with General Rawat and wrote – Extremely sad to hear about the demise of CDS Gen BipinRawat, his wife and 11 more army officers. Had the privilege of meeting General Rawat many times. He had amazing audacity in his personality and unfathomable love for the country. “Jai Hind” would come out of his heart and tongue by joining hands with him!
Anil Kapoor paid tribute to General Rawat by sharing an old photo of him. Anil wrote – Shocking loss. Condolences and prayers to all the families. I have the honor that I had met General Bipin Rawat. Oh goodness Ajay Devgan wrote – Saddened to hear about the sudden demise of General Bipin Rawat, his wife Madhulika Rawat and their contingent of the Indian Military Force.
