Singer Britney Spears is back to sharing topless photos on Instagram, which is something that she hasn’t done in quite a while.
Although she has disabled comments on her Instagram posts since the start of the new year, fans who have followed the 41-year-old pop star for a while know that these photos are extremely similar to what she posted last July.
In her latest Instagram post, the “Oops!…I Did It Again” singer posted a photo that features her lying topless on the bed in her hotel room. She is sticking her tongue out as she lies on her stomach, wearing a pair of turquoise blue bikini bottoms.
Britney has disabled comments on her Instagram posts since the start of the new year and didn’t add a caption to this photo, either.
That being said, the “Break The Ice” singer did leave a caption in her second Instagram post on Monday night, which featured her still lying on her stomach as she kicked her feet up into the air behind her.
In the caption, Britney seemed to leave a sarcastic message, writing, “Hi !! It’s just me … this is one of my shots from London !!! It’s really PROFESSIONAL !!! No hair and make up !!! I was the stylist and propped my phone on an alarm clock !!! We must take things extremely serious 😏😏🤧🌸🌸🌸🖕🏻🖕🏻🖕🏻!!!!”
If those photos look familiar to Britney fans, it’s because she posted them several times on July 21, 2022. In one Instagram post, she wrote “ALRIGHT ALRIGHT ALRIGHT 🌹🌹🌹.” In another Instagram post, Britney wrote, “Waking up in London 🇬🇧 with my Cabo thong 🙈 !!!”
A third Instagram post featured the caption, “Not sure … tea 🫖 or coffee ☕️🤔 ???? I held my phone up with a book and a remote control to shoot this ….🙈🙈.” She also uploaded a video on Instagram that featured the caption, “🎃🎃🎃 When’s Halloween 😳😳🤓🤓 ????”
At this point, Britney hadn’t disabled comments on her post, leaving fans free to express their concern. One fan commented, “I have been a Britney fan since I was like 20 years. When the music video Toxic came out she had issues with the wardrobe being too se*xy and too revealing. I don’t think Britney is as free as everyone things.”
“It’s ALWAYS the same type of videos, many repeats, and way too much showing off,” they continued. “If this is her than I guess awesome for her but this also just isn’t normal behavior for anyone. People don’t repeat the same shots and her make up is isnt right. I just feel if this was her she’d be getting professional shots to and telling HER story. Shed be out her advocating.”
Although Britney has never been shy about showing off the aesthetic beauty of Mexico and Hawaii, fans were skeptical that the photos were actually taken in London as Britney claims, considering she never shared any photographs of the area.
One follower asked, “If this is London, why no pics of London? No restaurants, no pics of being out and about in London, nothing? Just a crappy-looking hotel room? Upscale hotel rooms don’t have chintzy art like that on the walls. Where are you, really?”
Although some of her followers hope that Britney will stop with these kinds of posts, others don’t see a problem with it… as long as it’s what Britney wants to post. “I think it’s absolutely wild that everyone here is so butthurt over these?” one fan asked.
“You’re free and enjoying your best life. You’re embracing your body and that’s a beautiful thing,” they continued. “People are totally fine when all the practically child-age stars post photos like this, but a mature woman doing it? For shame. Shows the mindset of the world we live in.”
Although some fans agreed, other followers still say it looks like Britney is trying to ask for help by posting these kinds of photos.
