New Delhi. Bhartiya Sanchar Nigam Limited or BSNL is the most prominent government telecom company in the country. BSNL is taking many new steps in an attempt to stay ahead of the private telecom companies and give them a tough competition. Recently, BSNL has taken a new initiative regarding its SMS packs. BSNL has reduced the SMS tariff for its e-SIM customers by 66.67%. Also, new add-on SMS packs have also been launched. Let us know about all these in detail..




BSNL reduced sms tariff

BSNL has reduced its base SMS tariff to 5 paise per SMS for on-net SMS and 10 paise per SMS will be charged for sending SMS to other networks. That is, when the customer finishes the free SMS received in his eSIM or M2M plan, he will have to pay this fee.

New Add-on SMS Packed Launched

M2M Plans Many people complained that the charges per SMS are very high after the free SMS of the pack is exhausted and it is very difficult to send SMS if they are in places where data is not available.




In such a situation, BSNL has launched some new add-on SMS packs. According to Kerala Telecom, BSNL has launched three new add-on SMS packs priced at Rs 10, 20 and Rs 25. In the pack of Rs 10, the customer will get 500 free SMS, Rs 20 pack will give 1 thousand SMS and in the add-on SMS pack of Rs 25 will get 2 thousand SMS.
