Bullet Train News: A 260 km long elevated track will be built for high-speed bullet train in Bihar. This project will be completed in various districts of Bihar under the Varanasi-Patna-Howrah High Speed Rail Corridor. It will have trains with a speed of about 350 km per hour. The process of land acquisition for this has started.
Bullet Train News: Bullet train will run in Bihar soon. This train will run on a 260 km long elevated track. This track will pass through five districts, including Patna. The DPR of this project will be ready by August. NHSRCL will soon select an agency for this. This bullet train is a part of the Varanasi-Patna-Howrah High Speed Rail Corridor. The length of the entire corridor will be around 800 km. The 260 km track to be built in Bihar will pass through Patna, Buxar, Ara, Jehanabad and Gaya districts. This track will be built above the ground, hence it is called an elevated track.
The project will be completed in two phases
This entire project will be completed in two phases. In the first phase, a track will be built from Varanasi to Howrah. This will include important stations like Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Junction, Ara, Buxar, Patna and Gaya. In the second phase, a track will be built from Delhi to Varanasi. This will make it possible to travel from Delhi to Howrah by high speed train.
Length of track in Patna is 61 km
The length of this track in Patna will be about 61 km. About 135 hectares of land will be needed for this. 58 villages have been identified for this land. The process of land acquisition has started. The villagers will get four times more money than the market price in exchange for the land. The city people will get double the compensation.
Bullet train speed is 350 km per hour
According to the information, the speed of the bullet train will be 350 km per hour. This will reduce the travel time considerably. This train will be based on Japanese technology. It will have many modern facilities. Like, automatic doors, CCTV cameras and mobile charging points.
NHSRCL to prepare DPR
This project will accelerate the development of Bihar. New employment opportunities will be created. Tourism will be promoted. People will be able to travel easily. The task of preparing DPR for this project has been assigned to NHSRCL. NHSRCL will soon select an agency that will prepare the DPR. This work is expected to be completed in two to three months. The DPR will contain complete information about the project. Such as, cost, timeline, technical aspects and land acquisition plan.
