Cancelled Train List: Railways canceled these trains for 3 months, see the list before travelling

Cancelled Train List – Due to the dense winter fog in northern India, the Railways has canceled trains. This move will most impact passengers traveling between Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Jammu, and Delhi.

Cancelled Train List: The winter season has begun in North India. In view of the dense fog expected during this season, Northern Railway has cancelled several trains from December 1, 2025, to March 1, 2026. The cancelled trains include major trains like the Garib Rath Express, Amritsar-Chandigarh Express, Yoganagari Jammu Tawi Express, and Kalka-Vaishno Devi Express, which are relied upon by thousands of passengers daily. This move will most impact passengers traveling between Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Jammu, and Delhi.

Devotees traveling to pilgrimage sites like Vaishno Devi, Amritsar Golden Temple, and Haridwar will also face inconvenience as many direct trains have been discontinued. Ambala Railway Division officials confirmed that advance booking for all affected trains was suspended weeks ago. The suspension information has been issued to all station masters and published in the reservation system.

Appeal to get information from helpline and app

Railway officials say this decision was taken as part of the “annual winter preparedness plan.” Reduced visibility in fog increases the risk of accidents and long delays. Therefore, selected trains are cancelled to ensure smooth operations. The Railways has urged passengers to receive real-time updates on the official helpline, app, and website.

These Trains Have Been Cancelled

The cancelled trains include several long-route trains that are heavily crowded during the festive season and winter months. The Garib Rath Express (12207/12208) is the most prominent, and will be discontinued from December 9 to February 24. This train runs between Chandigarh and Amritsar. The Yoganagari Jammu Tawi Express (14606/14605) has also been cancelled from December 7 to February 22. This train runs between Chandigarh, Jalandhar, and Jammu.

The Lalkuan-Amritsar Express (14615/14616) will be discontinued from December 6 to January 28. This train provides direct connectivity between Uttarakhand and Punjab. The Jan Sewa Express (14617/14618) has been suspended from December 3 to March 2. This train also runs between Punjab and Uttarakhand. The Kalka-Vaishno Devi Express (14503/14504) will not run from December 2 to February 28. This train is a major connection for pilgrims travelling from Kalka to Katra.
