The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the dates for the Class 10th and 12th board exams. The exams are scheduled to begin on February 17th. Several changes have been made this year, leaving students confused about the exam pattern and marking. The CBSE has launched several services to assist students, which students can avail by visiting the official website https://www.cbse.gov.in/.

Notably, there is no fee for these services. Furthermore, the board has also released the syllabus, which will help students understand what to study and what not to study. It should be noted that in 2026, the CBSE will conduct two board exams for Class 10. For Class 12 students, a main exam and a supplementary exam will also be conducted.

Approximately 4.5 million students will appear for exams in 204 subjects. The first Class 10 exam will run until March 9th. Class 12 exams will conclude on April 9th. The second Class 10 exam will be held from May 15th to May 30th. Compartment exam exams will be held on June 1st. Let’s find out what facilities CBSE is offering.

These features will make board exam preparation easier.

Previous Years’ Question Papers: CBSE has released previous years’ question papers to help students prepare for the Class 10th and 12th board exams. Question papers for not only the main exam but also the compartment exams are available on the official website. This will help students understand the exam pattern and plan their study accordingly.

Sample Papers and Marking Scheme: CBSE has also released subject-wise sample papers and marking schemes. Candidates can download them from the official website http://cbseacademic.nic.in. This will help them understand the new pattern of board exams.

Question Bank: Many students purchase separate question banks for board exams. However, CBSE is offering question banks for various subjects, including Business Studies, Physical Education, History, Sociology, English, and Mathematics, on its website. An additional practice question bank has also been made available.

Answer Models: Many students struggle with how to write answers for board exams. CBSE has also released subject-wise model answers on the official website to help students with answer writing. Model answers are available on the official website from 2019 to 2024.

How to take advantage?

First, visit the CBSE’s main official website, www.cbse.gov.in.

Go to the “Board Examinations” tab at the top of the homepage.

A list of features and information related to board exams will appear here. Select the option that best suits your needs.

Then, select either Class 10th or Class 12th. A subject-wise list will appear on the screen. Download the PDF.

Candidates can also take a printout and keep it for future reference.
