The Central Board of Secondary Education has released important information regarding the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) and Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) Recruitment 2025. The board has released the Tier-1 exam dates, shifts, and exam cities. This news brings relief to millions of candidates who have been waiting for the exam schedule for a long time.
Tier-1 Exam to be Held in January 2026
According to the information released by the CBSE, the Tier-1 exam for KVS and NVS Recruitment 2025 will be held in January 2026. The exam will be held on January 10th and 11th, 2026. The exam will be conducted in CBT mode. The exam for different posts will be held in different shifts to ensure smooth and secure access for all candidates.

Candidates can download the city intimation slip and admit card from the official website. All necessary instructions will be available on the admit card. The Tier-1 exam will be held in two shifts each day. The first shift will run from 9:30 am to 11:30 am, while the second shift will be held from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm. Candidates will be informed about which position will be held in which shift on their city intimation slip.
Exam City Intimation Slip Released
CBSE has also released the exam city intimation slip for candidates before the exam. This slip provides information about the city, day, and shift of the exam. This allows candidates to plan their travel and accommodation in advance, avoiding last-minute hassles.
When will the admit cards be released?
The board has also clarified that the admit cards for the KVS and NVS recruitment exams will be released approximately two days before the exam. The admit cards will include the complete address of the exam center, reporting time, shift times, and important exam instructions. Entry to the exam center will not be permitted without the admit card.
How to download the City Slip and Admit Card
- Candidates should first visit the official website.
- After that, click on the KVS/NVS Recruitment section on the homepage.
- Now, open the candidate login link.
- Then, enter your registration number and password.
- The candidate will now see the City Slip or Admit Card on their screen.
- Candidates should now download it.
- Finally, take a printout of it.
