Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has ordered to start Chardham Yatra from 18th September. For which the preparations for the Dhams have started.
Due to Corona, there has been a ban on the Char Dham Yatra since last year. Devotees were thinking that this time Chardham Yatra (Chardham Yatra 2021) will start. But the government had strictly banned the Chardham Yatra due to the situation worsened by Corona. Now the devotees were demanding the resumption of the yatra. For which demonstrations were also held. On Friday, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announced to start the Chardham Yatra. According to the government, Chardham Yatra will be started from September 18.
After the High Court’s decision regarding Chardham Yatra , now the state government has started preparing for the Yatra. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that Chardham Yatra will start from 18th September. Chief Secretary Dr SS Sandhu also held a meeting with the officials of various departments related to travel including tourism and Devasthanam Management Board to review the preparations for Chardham Yatra and gave necessary instructions.
2 SOPs will be ready
After the conditional operation of the Chardham Yatra was given permission, the government, the government and the Devasthanam Management Board also swung into action immediately. In accordance with the directions of the court, two SOPs are to be prepared for the Yatra. An SOP will be issued by the tourism department, in which provisions will be made about other arrangements including passenger facilities to reach Chardham Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri and Yamunotri.
The second SOP will be issued by the Chardham Devasthanam Management Board, in which the system of registration, standards are to be set for the pilgrims in the temples.
