UK Chevening Scholarships 2026-27: If you are also dreaming of studying abroad, then there is great news for you. A golden opportunity has come to get a scholarship for higher education in England. There is a scholarship to study in England, which includes all the expenses of your flight, living and studies.
The application window for the Chevening Scholarship will close on October 7, 2025. Students who wish to pursue a one-year masters degree from a UK university can register themselves to get the scholarship by visiting the official website chevening.org. This scholarship includes all the expenses of flight, accommodation and studies.
Eligibility for Chevening Scholarship-
1. Students must be citizens of a Chevening-eligible country.
2. Students must commit to return to their home country at least two years after the scholarship ends.
3. Students must have an undergraduate degree so that they can register for a postgraduate degree when submitting the scholarship application.
4. The student must have at least two years of work experience.
5. The candidate must have applied for courses at three different and eligible UK universities and must have an offer at one of the universities by the last date of application.

Application Window- August 5 to October 7, 2025
Reading Committee Assessment – Mid-October 2025 to January, 2026
Interview – March to April, 2026
Result – Mid-June, 2026
Submission of offer from at least one UK university – By July 9, 2026
The Uttar Pradesh government has launched the “Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee-Chevening UP State Government Scholarship Scheme” in collaboration with the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO). Every year, five meritorious students from Uttar Pradesh will receive scholarships for a one-year master’s degree programme at top UK universities. This will cover tuition fees, research and examination fees, monthly accommodation allowance and to and fro airfare. Selection will be based on merit. The scheme will run for three academic years – 2025-26, 2026-27 and 2027-28. The Uttar Pradesh government will pay around Rs 23 lakh per student, and the UK will pay the remaining amount.
