Covid 19 India Update : More than 86,000 new Covid-19 cases registered in India, 2,123 deaths

Covid 19 India Update: On Tuesday, 86,498 new cases of Covid infection were reported in India in 24 hours, which is less than one lakh for the first time in the last 66 days. This is also the lowest number of cases since April 2 when the country reported 89,129 new cases of corona. In the last 24 hours, 2,123 more people died due to the pandemic.


On Monday, India had registered 1,00,636 cases, which is the lowest number of cases since April 6. The total number of COVID-19 cases in India is now 2,89,96,554, with 13,03,702 active cases and 3,51,309 deaths so far. In the last few days, India’s fresh Covid cases have seen a decline, with one lakh people getting corona infected every 24 hours, while the deaths are also less than 3,000.

After battling a brutal second wave for weeks, fresh Covid cases fell below the three lakh mark for the first time on May 17, while touching a record high of 4,14,188 on May 7. In the last three weeks, India has recorded more than 90,000 deaths. India recorded a record fatality due to Covid-19 with 4,529 deaths on 21 May.

Which was the highest number of Covid infections in any country since the outbreak of Coronavirus in Wuhan, China in December 2019. This figure has crossed 4,468 deaths in the US on January 12, 2021 and 4,211 in Brazil on April 6, 2021. According to the Ministry of Health, a total of 1,82,282 people have been discharged in the last 24 hours, taking a total of 2,73,41,462 discharges so far.


The Health Ministry said that so far a total of 23,61,98,726 people have been vaccinated in the country, out of which 33,64,476 people were vaccinated in the last 24 hours. According to the Indian Council of Medical Research, 36,82,07,596 samples have been tested for Covid-19 till June 7. Of these, 18,73,485 samples were tested on Monday.
