DA Hike: There is good news for Haryana government employees. The state government on Wednesday increased dearness allowance (DA) for its employees and dearness relief (DR) for pensioners by 2 percent. According to PTI news, after this decision of the Haryana government, dearness allowance for employees and dearness relief for pensioners has been increased from 53 percent to 55 percent of their basic salary. An official statement said that this increase will be effective from January 1, 2025.
Will be given with salary/pension of April 2025
According to the news, citing the order issued by the Finance Department, the statement said that the revised DA and DR will be given with the salary/pension of April 2025. The arrears for the period from January 2025 to March 2025 will be paid in May 2025. This decision of the government will benefit lakhs of employees and pensioners of the state. Their salary will increase.
Dearness allowance also increased in these states
Before Haryana, in recent times, the governments of Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Jharkhand, Maharashtra have also increased dearness allowance for their employees and pensioners. In these states too, dearness allowance has been increased by 2 percent or more. Employees were also given outstanding amount in the form of arrears.
If needed, retired employees will be appointed!
In a recent decision, the Haryana government has said that for the smooth functioning of all departments (if needed), efforts have been made to re-appoint retired employees for assistance. The final authority to approve the cases of re-appointment of retired government employees has been given to the Chief Minister. A decision in this regard was taken in the cabinet meeting on 25 March 2025.
