DA Hike: The new year may bring double happiness for the government employees of Madhya Pradesh. Mohan Yadav government can give a gift of four percent dearness allowance to more than seven lakh regular employees of the state. State employees currently get dearness allowance at the rate of 42 percent.
The government is going to increase it from 42 to 46 percent. The Finance Department has prepared a proposal for this and sent it to the Chief Minister’s Office. The final decision on this will be taken by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav.
Central government increased dearness allowance to 46 percent
Let us tell you that the Modi government at the Center has increased the dearness allowance of its employees by four percent to 46 percent from July 2023. A decision on this could not be taken due to the imposition of code of conduct in the assembly elections. The state government had sent the proposal on this to the Election Commission through the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer but had given instructions to wait till the voting.
