Delhi Water Crisis: dirty water leaving Haryana, drinking water production affected in Delhi, AAP MLA raised voice

The DJB vice president wrote in the letter that a large part of Delhi relies on the Yamuna for the supply of raw water. Haryana is getting the benefit of geographical location. At the same time, there has been a crisis regarding the supply of water for the last few days.

New Delhi, Jagran Correspondent. Raghav Chaddha, vice chairman of Delhi Jal Board, has written a letter to Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal. In this, the issue of rising ammonia levels from contaminated water being released from Haryana to Yamuna has been raised. At the same time, due to increase in the amount of ammonia in the water, the drinking water production capacity of the capital is being affected.

The DJB vice president wrote in the letter that a large part of Delhi relies on the Yamuna for the supply of raw water. Haryana is getting the benefit of geographical location. At the same time, the capital Delhi has been facing a crisis regarding water supply for the last few days.

He hoped that in view of the Corona crisis, the humanitarian base would understand and cooperate with the problem of Haryana Delhi. Delhi is facing a double whammy over water. First, there is a supply of highly polluted water from Haryana. Second, the water supply is being reduced considerably.

The people of the capital Delhi have the fundamental right to drink clean water, but this is affecting the lives of about 22 million people of Delhi. This also shows the level of negligence of the officials of the Irrigation and Water Resources Department of Haryana.
