Digilocker: Now documents like DL, Aadhar card will never be lost, know what is Digilocker

DigiLocker is one such way under which you can save and keep documents like your driving license and vehicle registration certificate safe. Know its complete process in detail.



New Delhi: It is very important to keep the identity card safe and with you. We always have to keep some documents with us. Because we need these documents many times and anywhere. But the fear of losing them also remains. People take a lot of precautions to keep important documents like driving license, voter ID card or educational or professional documents safe. But still sometimes they get lost by mistake. In such a situation, today we are telling you about a way through which you will be able to keep a soft copy with you on your phone instead of a physical copy of your documents.

What is DigiLocker

DigiLocker is one such way under which you can save and keep documents like your driving license and vehicle registration certificate safe. It has been launched by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. Actually it (DigiLocker Benefits) is linked to your Aadhar card and phone number. In this, you can save a scanned copy of your documents by uploading them in PDF, JPEG or PNG format. The most important thing is that you can also e-sign these documents. It works exactly like a self-attached physical document.

Soft copy will be saved

The biggest advantage of keeping documents saved in it (DigiLocker Uses) is that you do not need to keep a hard copy of any of your documents with you. And of course there will be no fear of losing them. So let’s know the process of using DigiLocker (DigiLocker App).

Learn the complete process of use

1. For this you must first go to DigiLocker’s website. Then download DigiLocker app on your smartphone.

2. Now you create your user ID from your Aadhar card or mobile number. Now an OTP will also be sent to your number.

3. After the app is opened, you will see the option of Get Started, tap on it.

4. Then tap on Create Account. After this you will be asked to enter your name, date of birth, mobile number, security pin, email ID and Aadhaar number.

5. After doing all this, an OTP will come on your registered mobile number. Submit this OTP in the app.

6. You will then be asked to create a username. Here you can create any username you want. Then tap on OK at the bottom. Your account will be created.

7. Now the interface of DigiLocker will open in front of you. Then click on any document you want to save here.

8. After this a pop-up will appear in front of you in which you will be asked for your permission. Please OK on this.

9. After OK, you will get OTP once again, enter it. Then tap on Continue.

10. After this you will be able to see that your Aadhar card has been saved in your Issued Documents.

11. In the same way, you will be able to save your PAN card, LIC driving license, school certificates etc. here.

12. You will also be able to share these documents. These will go to the sender in PDF format.
