Digital Voter ID Cards: Now always carry digital voter ID in your phone, know the whole process

Digital Voter ID Card: All general voters who have a valid e-EPIC number. Those who have applied for the voter card during November-December 2020 and who have received the mobile number SMS provided at the time of applying. Those people can download the card.

The Election Commission of India introduced the digital voter ID card on 25 January. Assembly elections will be held in five states of the country in the next few days. e-EPIC is a kind of secure portable document format (PDF) version. It can be downloaded on mobile or computer in a self-printable form. Voters can download and store this digital card in their mobiles. You can get it printed as well. You can download digital voter card from National Voter Service Portal.

To download the digital voter card, follow this step, you must first go to the website of http://voterportal.eci.gov.in/. There, you create your account. After logging in, click on the option of e-EPIC shown on the website. After this, you have to enter your e-EPIC number or reference number. Then an OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number. After submitting OTP, download e-EPIC and download your digital card.

If you assume that your registered mobile number on the card is different, then you will have to complete the Know Your Customer (KYC) process to download it. You can download your card by updating the number through KYC.


You will get rid of the hassle of making digital voter card again and again. Whenever there is a change in address, there will be no need to get a new card after that.
