Driving Licence Apply Online: Aadhaar card holders need not stand in queue after this central government’s decision; details at parivahan.gov.in

Driving Licence Apply Online: There is a piece of good news for Driving Licence (DL) applicants across India provided they have an Aadhaar card.

Driving Licence Apply Online: There is a piece of good news for Driving Licence (DL) applicants across India provided they have an Aadhaar card. The central government is soon going to launch 16 transport-related services online that includes learning Driving Licence apply facility and provisional vehicle registration. To avail benefit of this Narendra Modi Government’s move, the applicants will have to do Aadhaar authentication by logging in at parivahan.gov.in/parivahan/en/content/driving-licence-0.

The Modi Government has made Aadhaar authentication mandatory for various welfare schemes and now it is going to implement this in online DL apply and vehicle registration too. After the Aadhaar card authentication, the applicants won’t be required to submit other documents. This central government’s move has got approval from the Information Technology Ministry.




For information to the readers, the Surface Transport Ministry has issued a notification to make its 16 services online that includes online Learning Driving Licence apply and temporary vehicle registration. Other services that figures in this list are DL renewal, Duplicate DL apply, address change in vehicle registration certificate, international driving permit, NOC for vehicle registration, duplicate vehicle registration certificate, vehicle transfer, etc.
