Only after this the process of driving license application will be completed. Applicants below 40 years of age will not be required to produce medical certificate for any category of license.

According to the information received from the RTO, when the applicant goes to the RTO for a confirmed license after the learning license, the doctor nominated by the CMO will be present at the RTO office in Naini along with getting the photograph taken. After medical examination, a certificate will be issued to the applicant. Which the RTO employees will upload on the Sarathi app. On the instructions of Additional Transport Commissioner, this service will be implemented from April 1.

RTO’s Divisional Inspector Prateek Mishra said that now doctors will be regularly present in the RTO office who will conduct necessary health tests of the applicants, especially eye examination, and issue medical certificates. Applications for heavy license are made only after the age limit of 20 years. Medical certificate will be mandatory for both learning and confirmed licenses.
