In such a situation, if you want to drive any kind of car or vehicle, then you should apply for a driving license. It’s easy, you just have to pass the driving test. First the learning license is made and then the permanent driving license (DL) is issued. Once you apply, your driving license arrives by Indian Post at your given address within 30 days. You need to do some homework before applying for this.
Do these things before applying
Documents play the most important role in anything. You need some important documents to apply for DL (Driving License). This includes Aadhar Card, Residence Certificate, Address Proof (Ration Card, PAN Card, Electricity Bill), Date of Birth Certificate (10th mark sheet, birth certificate, identity card can be given), Passport size photo, Signature, Learning License. Prepare the number and mobile number first.
How to apply for learning license
- Visit the official website of the Ministry of Road Transport Department, sarathi.parivahan.gov.in.
- Select your state in the home page.
- Now you will be on a new page. Here click on Apply for learner License.
- Next page will open in which click on continue and the application form will be in front of you.
- Select the category in the application form and fill all the information in the form.
- Now the necessary important documents will have to be uploaded.
- Then click on LL Test Slot Online and click on submit.
- Now you have to go to your RTO office. There one has to undergo a driving test. If you pass the test then Learning License will be issued.
Apply for Permanent Driving License (DL)
After learning license one has to apply for permanent driving license. For this the following process has to be followed:
- Visit the official website of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, sarathi.parivahan.gov.in.
- Select your state on the home page.
- You will be on the next page. Click on Apply Online here. Then click on New Driving License option.
- On the next page, stages will be given for driving license. Here click on continue at the bottom.
- On clicking, enter your learning license number and date of birth on the new page and click on ok.
- As soon as you do this, the application form will appear on the screen. Upload necessary information and documents in it. Then click on next.
- Now you have to select the time for DL appointment. You will have to appear in the RTO office on the selected time and date.
- Pay you fees online.
- Once the process is complete, click on the Submit button.
- Your driving test will be taken at the scheduled time. Upon passing, your DL (Driving License) will be sent to your address.
