Getting so much grant for buying a drone
The central government is giving a grant ranging from 40 to 100 percent for the purchase of drones. Agricultural training institutes, agricultural universities are being given a grant of 100 percent i.e. up to a maximum of 10 lakhs to buy drones. At the same time, up to 75 percent subsidy is given to the Farmer Producer Organizations on the purchase.
Agriculture graduate youth, SC/ST category, women farmers are eligible for up to 50 percent subsidy on purchase of drones. They are given financial assistance up to a maximum of Rs 5 lakh. At the same time, 40 percent i.e. up to 4 lakh subsidy is given to other farmers for buying drones.
What is the advantage of using drones in agriculture
It was impossible to spray due to sudden disease in any crop, but with this drone technology, a very large area can be sprayed at a time. This will save both medicine and time. Earlier, farmers were not able to spray the medicine due to lack of time. Due to which insects used to get into the crops and the crops were ruined, but now more acres can be sprayed at a time by the drone.
For example, suppose you have cultivated a crop of 30 acres. There are insects in the crop. It will take you a long time to spray the insecticide. At the same time, with the help of drones, you can save the crop by spraying insecticide on the entire crop in a single day.
