In an interview, Nita Ambani revealed how much pocket money she used to give to her children. Recalling an incident, Nita Ambani had said, ‘When my children were young, I used to give them 5 rupees every Friday so that they could spend in the school canteen. One day, my younger son Anant came running into my bedroom and started demanding 10 rupees from me.

He further said, ‘When I asked him why you should get 10 rupees, he said that when he showed a coin of 5 rupees to his friends in school, he would laugh at him and say’ You are Ambani or beggar ‘. On hearing this, Nita Ambani and Mukesh Ambani had a laugh.
