Rajya Sabha biennial elections: The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Monday announced the dates of Rajya Sabha elections to be held on 56 seats in 15 states. These elections are being held for the vacant seats due to the tenure of 56 sitting MPs of Rajya Sabha ending in the beginning of April. According to the notification of the Election Commission, elections for these seats are to be held on 27th February, for which notification will be issued on 8th February. This entire process of elections will be completed by 29th February.
