Electric Car: Tata Nexon competitor mg zs ev launch 8 february

There is going to be a big explosion today in the automobile sector. UK carmaker MG Motors is about to launch an updated version of the ZS EV SUV car. MZ ZS EV is launching today. It is believed that this electric SUV Car will compete with Tata Nexon. 




Delhi: If you are planning to buy a new electric SUV Car then this news is specially for you. British automaker MG Motors is constantly updating its vehicles in India. In this episode, it is now the turn of the MZ ZS EV car which is going to be launched on February 8. The MG company has officially announced that it will launch the MZ ZS EV in the Indian market on 8 February 2021.

MG Motors has updated the ZS EV

Car makers MG Motors are trying to give a tough competition to other electric SUV car makers like Tata Nexon EV and Hyundai Kona. So far the company has not given any information about the change in the new ZS EV. However, it is believed that more features will be given in this electric car than the current model. MG Motors recently gave a mid-life refresh to Hector, even though it was launched only in 2019.

Compete with Nexon

The MG ZS EV was launched in India last year and the company had sold more than 1,000 units of the car by December 2020. However, in terms of sales, Nexon EV continues to be the first in the electric segment in India. Nexon Eva sold 2,529 units last year. The current model of MG ZS EV has a 44.5 kWh battery, which gives power of 142 bhp and peak torque of 353 Nm. This car can be accelerated from zero to 100 km per hour in 8.5 seconds.

Car Price and Variants

The price of MG ZS EV ranges from Rs 20.88 lakh to Rs 23.58 lakh. The MG ZS EV is offered in 2 variants, with the base model being the Excite and the top variant being the MG ZS EV Exclusive. Talking about charging, this car will be able to give a single charge range up to 340 km. Currently, the MG ZS EV is the only electric car in India that can be charged up to 80 percent in just 50 minutes with the help of a fast charger.
