Actress Elnaaz Norouzi, who appeared in ‘Sacred Games’, is in the news these days. She is constantly supporting the women of Iran.

New Delhi: Iranian-origin actress Elnaaz Norouzi, who garnered praise for her work in Netflix’s popular series ‘Sacred Games’, has been working against Iran’s “moral police” for women. Participated in large scale protests. She is supporting Iranian women. They say that women are free to live whatever they want.

Actress shared the video

Elnaaz Norozi has posted a video on her Instagram account. In the video, she is seen taking off several layers of clothes and joining the protest. By sharing the video, she wants to tell people what women want to wear and what they don’t. No one can stop them. She wrote in the caption, ‘Every woman in the world has the right to dress as she pleases. No man or any other woman has the right to judge her or ask her anything.

Talk on choice

She further said that everyone has different views. They should be respected. Democracy means having the power to make decisions.

Every woman should have the power to decide on her own body. I am not promoting nudity, I am promoting freedom of choice.’ Before working in India, Elnaaz Norouzi worked for more than 10 years as an international model for brands like Dior, Lacoste and Le Coq Sportive.

Protests in Iran

Iranian women have found themselves compelled to fear the dishonesty of the morality police. Those found to be in violation of the Islamic Republic’s dress code were taken to one of Vice Unit’s green and white vans for lectures on how to wear their headscarves. Many Iranian women have faced even worse conditions. One of them was 22-year-old Mahsa Amini, who was picked up by the ethics police in Tehran on 16 September and pronounced dead three days later.
