UP Govt DA Bonus: Uttar Pradesh government has announced a four percent increase in bonus (non-gazetted) and dearness allowance (DA) for all its employees before Diwali. The increase in DA will also be effective for pensioners. Let us tell you that recently the Center has announced a 4 percent increase in DA and now the state government is also implementing this increase.

Actually, the proposal for increase in dearness allowance was sent by the Finance Department to the Chief Minister’s Office for the approval of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, which has now been approved. Let us tell you that about 14-16 lakh state government employees including teachers and about 12-13 lakh pensioners will benefit from this increase.

Allowance increased from 42 to 46 percent:

Till now Yogi government used to give DA/DR to the employees at the rate of 42 percent. But after the increase of 4 percent it has increased to 46 percent. Now employees will get Rs 6908 as dearness allowance and bonus.

DA hike will be implemented from July 1. Along with this, arrears from July 1 to September will also be given to employees and pensioners. Let us tell you that the government announces increase in DA twice a year. The first DA comes into effect from January 1 every year and the second from July 1.
