Will get travel leave
The Uttarakhand government has given great relief to the teachers and employees. Teachers and staff will get travel leave once in a year. More than 75000 teachers-employees are to get its benefits. Let us inform that earlier also the employees used to get travel leave but in 2018 it was banned by the government.
Although this ban was imposed only on basic and secondary teachers. Teachers of higher education were already being provided leave. After which a demand was made by the basic and secondary teachers to restore travel leave on the lines of the Higher Education Department. which has been accepted.
Order issued by Director General of Education
Travel leave will be given once in a year. Provincial President of Government Teachers Association Ram Singh Chauhan and Provincial General Secretary RP said that with this order the teachers will be able to get travel leave again. For this, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of Education Minister Dhan Singh Rawat on August 4. In the meeting, many demands were agreed upon, including giving travel leave to teachers. At the same time, the order was issued by the Director General of Education. It was said in the order that until separate instructions are received from the government regarding travel leave, the benefit of travel leave will be made available to teachers and employees as before.
