Update Aadhaar Linked Mobile Number In UAN Account Only.
EPFO has asked all PF members to check your mobile number in UAN profile to protect your PF account. In case the mobile number is not yours, please update it with your own mobile number and if possible add your Aadhaar linked mobile number to your UAN account.

Use Of Mobile Number Linked In UAN Account
The mobile number which is linked in the UAN account of the employee, that mobile number is used for the following tasks-

• To create a new password if you forget your password.
• To check PF balance on Umang App |
• To get the message of PF balance on contribution payment by the employer.

Use Of Aadhaar Linked Mobile Number In PF Related Online Works

In order to avail online services related to PF on the Unified Member Portal, PF members need to have a linked mobile number in their UAN account as well as a registered mobile number in their Aadhaar. In PF related online work, the requirement of Aadhaar-linked mobile number is found in the following tasks –

• To file e-nomination in a PF account.
• To submit online pf claim form-31,19,10c and 10d |
• To update Bank KYC in UAN account.

Therefore, the EPFO ​​has requested the PF member to first check their mobile number in the profile of their UAN account and if possible, link the registered mobile number with their UAN account in Aadhaar. Apart from this, if the PF member has more than one UAN account, then he is also asked to apply to transfer the old UAN to the current UAN.
