Most of these problems are related to PF account. However, now they are being made easier. EPFO has given another facility in this episode. With this, after changing the job, the employees themselves can make their exit mark.
It is necessary to have an exit mark for these facilities.
For many facilities related to PF, it is necessary to have an exit date mark. Till now only the company had the right to mark the exit date. Due to not marking the exit date by the company, the employees were not able to make withdrawal from PF account if needed. Due to this, PF account transfer could not be done.
Earlier only the employer had the right
Now EPFO has given the facility to the employees to mark the exit date on their own. However, this can be done only when the PF contribution of both the employee and the company has stopped accruing. Employees can mark the exit date two months after the last contribution is submitted.
If you also want to mark the exit date for your old job, then you have to follow these steps:
- First of all visit the official website of EPFO.
- After this, log in with the help of UAN and Password.
- You click on the Manage button and select Mark Exit.
- Now give the date and reason for leaving the job.
- You have to verify with OTP. OTP will be sent to your Aadhaar linked mobile number.
- Mark the tick box at the bottom and click on Update.
- Now you will get a pop-up message saying that the date of exit has been updated.
