The state government has decided to waive off agricultural loans up to Rs 1 lakh to more than 9 lakh farmers.
State government gave information
On the occasion of Independence Day, the Chief Minister of the state K. Chandrasekhar Rao has fulfilled his loan waiver promise. For this, funds have been released by the state government.
Loans less than 1 lakh waived
According to media reports, the CM of the state has said that loans of farmers with loans less than Rs 1 lakh are being waived off. The state government will decide to pay the loans up to Rs 99,999 to the banks.
Had promised on coming to power for the second time
The Telangana government has told that Rs 5,809.78 crore has been released for 9,02,843 farmers, after which this money will be deposited immediately in the name of the farmers. After coming to power for the second consecutive time in 2018, the state government had promised to waive crop loan of Rs 1 lakh.
Total 16,66,899 farmers got benefit
Let us tell you that on August 2, the CM of the state had decided to complete the loan waiver scheme of the farmers, which the government has completed. In the case of 7,19,488 farmers who took loans up to Rs 50,000, banks were paid Rs 1,943.64 crore. Apart from this, new orders were issued for settlement of loan amount up to Rs 99,999. A total of 16,66,899 farmers have got its benefit.
