Bihar Rajya Fasal Sahayata Yojana 2024: Many schemes are being run for farmers by the Central and State Government. To protect farmers from losses due to unseasonal rains and natural disasters, Bihar Government has started Bihar State Crop Assistance Scheme (Bihar Rajya Fasal Sahayata Yojana) in the interest of farmers. Under this, crop insurance of farmers is done by the government. Its objective is to reduce the damage caused to farmers’ crops during natural disasters. So let us know the details regarding this.
Who will get the benefit of this scheme?
Only farmers of Bihar can avail the benefit of this scheme. Online applications can be made for Kharif 2023 season. Along with this, ryot and non-ryot farmers, partially ryot and non-ryot farmers will get its benefit.
What is Bihar State Crop Assistance Scheme?
If you want to apply for this scheme, then apply online as soon as possible. If crops get damaged due to any natural disaster such as flood, drought etc., farmers are given financial assistance through this scheme. Through this scheme, ₹ 7500 per hectare is provided to the farmers in case of loss up to 20%.

On which crops is the benefit of the scheme available?
Kharif crops under this scheme include paddy, maize, soybean, potato, brinjal, tomato and cabbage. Farmers of all 38 districts of the state will get the benefit of this scheme.
What are the conditions of this scheme?
Under Bihar State Crop Assistance Scheme, there is a facility to select more than one crop. Under the scheme, assistance will be paid for a maximum of 2 hectares per farmer. Farmers of Nagar Panchayat/City Council area are also eligible to avail the benefits of the scheme.
How to check crop insurance?
Within 72 hours of applying, the insurance company will inform the concerned bank, local agriculture department government/district authorities or through our toll free number (1800 200 7710) or on the National Crop Insurance Portal.

When is Rabi crop?
Rabi crop is sown in the months of October-November. They are harvested from April to June. The crops grown at this time are wheat, barley, potato, gram, lentil, linseed, pea and mustard.
