Faults in income tax portal, Infosys said – expected to be fixed this week

New Tax e-filing Portal: Soon after the launch of the new e-filing website of the Income Tax Department, a technical problem was noticed, due to which taxpayers are upset.

New Delhi. IT company Infosys on Wednesday expressed hope that the problems of the new e-filing website of the Income Tax Department will be resolved this week and its smooth functioning. In fact, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had tweeted about technical issues on the new e-filing website of the Income Tax Department and tagged Infosys and Nandan Nilekani in it.


Infosys wrote on Twitter on Wednesday, “Our team is working to resolve technical issues. We hope that this week the website will start working smoothly.

 Infosys got the contract in the year 2019 Infosys was given the contract in 2019 to prepare the next generation income tax filing system. The Finance Minister had announced the launch of a new income tax filing portal through Twitter on Tuesday morning. But soon after, many complaints from users started coming on her Twitter timeline. Later, Sitharaman wrote on Twitter, “I have seen complaints about technical flaws on my timeline. Hope Infosys and Nandan Nilekani will not disappoint our taxpayers in the quality of service being provided.

Later, replying to Sitharaman’s tweet late in the evening, Nilekani wrote that some technical issues have come up on the first day and Infosys is working to resolve them.
Nilekani wrote on Twitter, “The new e-filing portal will facilitate the process of filing tax returns and give a better experience to the users. Some technical issues have come up on the first day and Infosys is working to resolve them. Infosys regrets the technical glitches and the system will be streamlined during the week.
