On behalf of the airline, it was tweeted that ‘We regret to inform that the scheduled flights of GoFirst have been canceled till June 4, 2023.’ The airline said that the passengers will be refunded the full amount of their tickets. It was assured from the airline that re-booking would be started soon.

Preparations will be ‘audited’ by DGCA

Earlier there was news that the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) would conduct an ‘audit’ of the airline’s preparations before allowing flights to resume. Information about this was also given in the information sent by GoFirst to the employees. Currently the airline is under voluntary insolvency resolution process. A DGCA official had told that the regulator of GoFirst has replied to the show cause notice.

In a letter sent by the airline to the employees, it was said that ‘DGCA will conduct an audit in the coming days to check our preparedness. Once we get the approval from the regulator, we will start operations again soon. GoFirst also said that the government has given a lot of cooperation and asked the airline to start operations as soon as possible.
