Flight Cancelled: Chennai airport faced significant disruptions on Tuesday. Twelve domestic flights were cancelled, impacting travel to and from cities like Kochi, Guwahati, and Mumbai. Ten flights, including international services from Qatar and Singapore, experienced delays of at least an hour. IndiGo cited operational constraints for its cancellations. Airport authorities confirmed weather was not a factor in the disruptions.
Flight Cancelled: As many as 12 domestic flights operating to and from Chennai airport were cancelled on Tuesday, and at least 10 flights, including a few international flights, were also delayed.
IndiGo’s flight from Kochi, which was scheduled to arrive in Chennai at 12:25 am, was cancelled and its return departure to Kochi also stood cacnelled.. Similarly, arrival and departures of flight to to destinations like Guwahati, Bhubaneshwar, Jaipur, Mumbai, and Coimbatore until 12 were also declared cancelled.
IndiGo cited operational constraints as the reason without elaborating on it. Airport authorities said that flight operations were unaffected due to prevailing weather conditions. However, several flights from both domestic destinations as well as countries like Qatar and Singapore were delayed by at least 1 hour.
