However, good news for Indians stranded in Dubai is that IndiGo will be operating some special flights starting today.
SpiceJet Cancels 14 Flights on March 3
SpiceJet cancelled 14 flights on March 3, including flights from Calicut, Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Amritsar, and Madurai to Dubai. Flights from Dubai to Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Amritsar, Madurai, Jaipur, and Kochi were also cancelled. Eight incoming and six outgoing flights from Dubai were cancelled. SpiceJet Airlines also announced the cancellation of two flights on March 4. Flights from Dubai to Jaipur and Pune have been cancelled.
IndiGo issues travel advisory
Flights between Saudi Arabia and India are gradually returning to normal. On March 3rd, IndiGo will operate four special flights from Jeddah to Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Ahmedabad. These flights are for passengers who had pre-booked flights but were unable to travel due to the current situation. Akasha Air will operate six flights to Jeddah on March 3rd and 4th.
These flights will operate on March 3:
- QP 561 at 7:20 pm: Mumbai – Jeddah
- QP 562 at 11:55 pm: Jeddah – Mumbai
These 4 flights will operate on March 4.
- 7:20 pm QP 561 Mumbai- Jeddah
- 11:55 pm QP 562: Jeddah- Mumbai
- 5:45 pm QP 563: Ahmedabad- Jeddah
- 9:50 pm QP 564: Jeddah- Ahmedabad
These flights will operate at 0:00 local time.
The airline stated that these flights are based on the current security situation and are subject to change if the situation changes. However, all flights to Abu Dhabi, Doha, Kuwait, and Riyadh remain cancelled until March 4th. The airline is continuously monitoring the situation in the Middle East and assessing the status of international flights.
